The Maniototo Presbyterian Parish is a group of diverse people seeking to worship together and to learn more about God in order to serve the entire community.
A church service is held every Sunday at 10am, usually at the Ranfurly Presbytarian church on Northland Sreet.
Children have a special programme called Rainbow Kids during the service. A monthly Family Sunday School programme is also held in the Naseby Presbyterian Church on Oughter Street, on the second Sunday of the month.
Communion is held on the third Sunday. The Parish also holds occasional services at churches in Patearoa, Oturehua and Kokonga.
The parish runs a Preschool Music programme every Monday at 10.30am in the St John’s ambulance rooms, as well as a Tuesday lunchtime children’s programme at the local Area School.
We are also part of the Combined Churches Welfare Fund, monthly church and communion services at the local rest home, as well as special events during Easter and Christmas. Yearly parish highlights include St Andrew’s Day in November with the local highland pipe band playing and other scottish happenings such as a haggis ceremony afterwards, as well as the interactive community art happening held just before Easter.
