The Eat.Taste.Central People's Choice Award gives you the chance to help select the winner of each category. The top five items in each category will then go on to be judged by our invited judging panel at the end of October.

Where and how do I vote for a dish?

The ‘People’s Choice’ voting system is accessed from this website. Select the category above you wish to vote for and you will then be taken to a secure page for submitting your vote. You will need to add some contact details, select the menu item you are voting for, and give scores out of 5 for Taste, Value, Presentation and Service.

How many times can I vote?

In order to minimise the impact of double voting, we will filter votes to unique email addresses per dish. i.e you can vote (and score) all items in the Pies category using a single email address but if you vote for the same pie twice your second vote would be discarded.

We have opted to keep the system simple to encourage voting, but it is possible for people to abuse this system; if we feel that a voter or business has misused the system to sway the voting we reserve the right to remove votes, or remove an entire dish from the voting.

Can I change my vote?

Once a vote is submitted, it cannot be changed. People can continue to vote for other dishes, but not for any dish they have already voted for.

Who wins the People's Choice Award?

The People’s Choice winner will be decided by averaging the scores received by each dish. The dish with the highest average score in each category will win. The top five menu items in each category will then proceed to our judging panel for the overall awards.
