Cromwell Volunteer Fire Brigade
Formed September 1874. This first brigade had twenty-four members.
The current station building in Cromwell was constructed and opened in 1992.
The present brigade has a membership of 28 Fire-fighters and 5 Operational Support members. The brigade remains active outside of emergency incidents with Cromwell represented in challenges, competitions, and the annual SkyTower stair climb.

Motor vehicle crashes, vegetation and property fires make up the wide range of incidents attended and the brigade responds to medical emergencies as and when required.
