Cromwell Rural Women New Zealand is a community based group that meets on the 4th Tuesday of every month.
The purpose of Rural Women New Zealand is to support rural communities and to act proactively in the provision of health, education, social, land and environment issues.
Our yearly programme includes visits to local gardens, providing a tour to other Rural Women Groups in Central Otago, a birthday dinner , entertaining residents of Ripponburn Hospital and Home and making a donation to the Roxburgh Health Camp, the proceeds coming from a Christmas mystery auction as part of the Club Christmas Party. We also have speakers on a range of health issues, travel, education and community happenings.
We raise funds in various ways including catering and proceeds go to a variety of local organisations. Supporting the purchase of a Scanner at Dunstan Hospital has been a major focus this year, with several thousand dollars going to this worthy cause.
We welcome new members from town or country offering friendship and entertainment. call for further details of our current programmes.
