Cromwell Early Learning Centre (CELCI) is a community owned pre-school and operates as an Incorporated Society. We employ a Financial Administrator/Licensee and 5 Registered Teachers.
Cromwell parents/whanau are our governing commitee. We work together as a team on decision making through consultation, discussion and professional advice. Sharing with the wider commuinity is very important to us. CELCI provides a warm, nuturing and caring family friendly enviroment for children aged two to six years. We have an all day licence, although children may attend on a sessional basis. Sessions are from 8:45am to 12 noon and 12:15pm to 3:15pm. Healthy morning tea is provided.
We have lovely bright spacious classrooms and a community meeting room (which is available for hire) Our nature playground is huge and provides a challenging place to explore. The children learn about sustainability through our gardening, recycling and worm composting. We also have a bird aviary, pet turtles, rats and Mexican walking fish.
CELCI uses I.C.T. to share children's learning, we are extremely well resourced and literacy rich.
We also offer a comprehensive Transition to School Programme.
Through warm, caring and reciprocal relationships with our children and their families we help our children to make special connections between home, centre and the wider world.
