Tony van Kempen has been managing the business for over 25 years and acquired a business share in the 1980’s and full ownership in the 1990’s. In that time the agency has negotiated nearly 2000 agreements in the Alexandra-Clyde area, building a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
Alexandra Real Estate is the only local, non-franchised agency in Alexandra. In 2015 the business moved from its main street premises to operate as a home based business with the greater emphasis on internet and media advertising rather than office street profile. With that came a change to reduced commission rates which are now based on a 1.95% structure rather than a 4% structure. The results of this change have also been very successful. We appreciate the support of a loyal client base allowing us to achieve these results.
Alexandra Real Estate is involved in all types of property transactions, the majority being residential sales. We have also sold farms, farmlets, motels, hotels, businesses, commercial, industrial, sections, leases, and special projects such as the sale by tender of about 20 surplus flood remediation properties on behalf of Contact/Crown which achieved 100% success.
